Sustaining Engagement, Access, and Opportunities

SEAO's focus is to reduce disproportionate and adverse outcomes for students with disabilities. SEAO supports local educational agencies (LEAs) in creating learning environments that support all students, staff, and families.

SEAO’s goals are to:

• Create, increase, and build capacity to ensure academic, behavioral, cognitive, and affective engagement for all students

• Promote high expectations and mutual respect for staff, students, and families

• Support the development of policies and practices that affirm students and safeguard their rights to a free appropriate public education

• Provide technical assistance to enhance inclusive curriculums and responsive instruction to meet educational needs for students with disabilities to succeed in their future careers
