The national Technical Assistance Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support
s is a project of the federal Office of Special Education Programs in the United States Department of Education. The Center provides schools with capacity-building information and technical assistance for identifying, adapting, and sustaining effective school-wide disciplinary practices.
Association for Positive Behavior Support
The Association for Positive Behavior Support is an international organization dedicated to the advancement of positive behavior support. APBS strives to expand application of this approach with children, adolescents, and adults with problem behavior. The Association is made up of professionals, family members, trainers, consumers, researchers, and administrators who are involved and interested in Positive Behavior Support. APBS, as a unifying home for these individuals from various communities and backgrounds, is a multidisciplinary association seeking members from all fields with interests in behavior support.
The IDEA Partnership
The IDEA Partnership is dedicated to improving outcomes for students and youth with disabilities by joining state agencies and stakeholders through shared work and learning. Pennsylvania belongs to the Idea Partnership's National Community of Practice on Collaborative School Behavioral Health.

Center for School Mental Health
Based at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, the Center for School Mental Health aims to strengthen policies and programs in school mental health to improve learning and promote success for America's youth.

The School Mental Health Project (SMHP) at the University of California at Los Angeles pursues theory, research, practice and training related to addressing mental health and psychosocial concerns through school-based interventions.

PAPBS Video Presentation(2014 version)

Identity-Based Bullying
Safe2Say Something is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. The program teaches youth and adults how to recognize warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to “say something” BEFORE it is too late. PA Bullying Prevention Consultation Line
The Office for Safe Schools, Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), announces the availability of the PA Bullying Prevention Consultation Line. The Bullying Prevention Consultation Line is a toll free number that will allow individuals experiencing chronic and unresolved bullying to discuss effective strategies and available resources to deal with school-based bullying. This supportive resource has been developed in collaboration with the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (CHPDP), and is available, at no cost, to students, parents/guardians and school districts across the state of Pennsylvania.
Messages can be left 24 hour a day, seven days a week, and will be returned Monday-Friday during normal business hours. The Consultation Line number is 1-866-716-0424.
Pennsylvania Student Assistance Program (SAP)
Student Assistance Program (SAP) in Pennsylvania is overseen by the PA Network for Student Assistance Services (PNSAS), comprised of Regional Coordinators and representation from the PA Departments of Education (Office for Safe Schools), Drug and Alcohol Programs (Division of Prevention and Intervention) and Human Services (Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services). The structure and operation of the program in Pennsylvania is a unique integrated model serving the needs of Pennsylvania families and students.

The Pennsylvania Student Assistance Program (SAP) is a team process used to mobilize school resources to remove barriers to learning or success. SAP is designed to identify academic, social, attendance, substance use, mental health, and other concerns which pose a barrier to student success. The primary goal of the Student Assistance Program is to help students overcome these barriers so that they may achieve, advance, and remain in school.
